We have a new job opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator to join our successful Information Technology team and play an influential role leading a customer focused database team delivering database administration, management and enhancement across British Heart Foundation (BHF).
About the role
You'll lead on key enhancements to BHF programmes which will include upgrades, advanced configuration, tuning, monitoring and general support of all databases, and ensuring they remain available at all times.
Providing strong technical leadership in the design, configuration and implementation of new data base services, whilst also developing and enhancing existing services, you'll work closely with the business this role will maintain a strong relationship between management of databases and the information and support needs that staff require.
About you
Strong technical experience of working in a database support or development position, as well as good hands-on knowledge of Windows Server platforms are a must for this role.
Having undergone SQL Business Intelligence Training to support SSRS, SSIS and SSAS Services, as well as training on Windows Server / Server Clustering / Active Directory, you'll also have strong database administration skills utilising Microsoft SQL Server, with the ability to manage, maintain, configure and problem solve SQL issues.
You'll have excellent communication skills, able to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business and work closely with the wider team. You'll be a key point of contact for any questions or queries.
