We are seeking an experienced Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join our award winning team and lead the British Heart Foundation's function in Northern Ireland.

Based in our Belfast office you'll devise and implement Northern Ireland-specific policy actions ensuring that BHF Northern Ireland influences developments in health policy and practice by developing Northern Irish-specific policy within the BHF policy framework.

You will develop an effective, high profile government relations programme with the Northern Irish Assembly, positioning BHF Northern Ireland as the heart health voice in Northern Ireland. You will also maintain existing and build new strategic relationships with key organisations to further BHF Northern Ireland's aims and objectives.

About you

You'll have experience of successful policy development and proven complex problem solving skills, first-class interpersonal communication and influencing skills are essential. You will have an in-depth understanding of the workings and processes of devolved government in Northern Ireland and how to use them to best effect.

With excellent communication and team building skills you'll be able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation. You will also be driven by your commitment to making a difference to heart health policy in Northern Ireland.
