Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at the BHF and as an events team we are dependent on the amazing people who volunteer at our events.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Volunteer Administrator to join our busy Events team and work across the team to achieve its objectives of recruiting and retaining event volunteers.

You'll be involved in a range of tasks including planning and administration, writing digital copy, and coordinating volunteers for events.

About you

The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and excellent time management, able to manage projects from start to finish. You'll have knowledge and an understanding of the work of the BHF and the opportunities for volunteering in our Events team.

Customer focused you'll have previous experience of supporting people who work remotely and across multi-sites. You'll be enthusiastic and personable with the ability to engage others about the BHF both to staff and the general public.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail you will be creative and innovative with the ability to take your own (and others) ideas to implementation ensuring that volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

Please note this is a part time role for 21 hours per week, ideally over 3 days, for 6 months. At the BHF we welcome flexible working and this role will have the possibility of working from home 1-2 days a week and also have some flexible working hours. Please note some weekend and evening work will also be required.
