The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the nation's heart charity. We help save lives through vital, life saving research into heart disease and we are recruiting for a new Media Officer to join our Grow Income Communications Team.

About the role

We are recruiting for a Media Officer to be responsible for supporting the delivery of communication campaigns for the BHF’s Fundraising Directorate. You’ll focus on supporting our new Communications Strategy for Fundraising by helping deliver engaging and innovative communications campaigns for the directorate. This includes, but is not limited to, our regular giving campaigns, community fundraising activity, special events, challenge events, mass participation and corporate partnerships.

About you

With knowledge of digital communications tools and tactics, including video, updating and maintaining web pages, blogger engagement and social networks, you will have experience of managing, developing and implementing effective media relations campaigns.
 
You will work alongside teams throughout the organisation and have strong stakeholder management and communication skills to build positive, co-operative relationships to produce world class campaigns. 
 
Experienced at managing numerous tasks and projects with competing deadlines, you will be able to prioritise and manage your own workload ensuring that key deadlines are met and campaigns are delivered to an exceptional standard. Alongside this you'll have excellent writing skills, including the ability to write accurate and engaging copy for a range of audiences.
