About the role

In this high profile role you will lead the development of the BHF-wide employee and volunteer communications and engagement to support the organisational and cultural changes in line with our People Strategy and to deliver our objective to be ‘Digital First’.  

You’ll oversee the delivery of effective, professional, engaging and involving communications for the Director of People & Organisational Development and work closely with and on behalf of the Executive Group.  You’ll embed the BHF Values, ‘Talk Research’ and other major employee campaigns as well as provide strategic support to the delivery of major technology and cultural change programmes.

About you

The successful applicant will have substantial internal communications experience in a complex organisation with geographically dispersed staff. You will also be experienced in developing and implementing internal communications strategies and measuring their effectiveness. 

With excellent communication skills you will have the ability to build strong business relationships with stakeholders across all directorates and excellent influencing skills.  A collaborative, determined, open and honest approach, to align with the organisation’s values will also be vital.
