Trustee Lead for Funding and Income Generation Role Description
The role of the Trustee Lead for Fundraising to support the Board in its efforts to raise income and maintain sustainable income sources to support the vision, mission and purpose of the organisation.
The Trustee Lead for Fundraising responsibilities include:
- Help in the development of a fundraising strategy for the organisation Write fundraising applications as part of that strategy Critique fundraising applications done by other members of the team Do basic admin on donations and grants received Keep up-to-date with fundraising methods Research and develop fundraising opportunities, using traditional and new ways of raising money for FoWG e.g. organising local events, liaising with trusts and other grant-making organisations; approaching corporates, communicating with local shops and businesses, developing fundraising through social media, crowdfunding.. Provide the Board with regular reports on Fundraising activities. Chair the Fundraising subgroup.
Other Duties
- Acting as a spokesperson and figurehead as appropriate.
Qualities and Person specification for the Lead on Funding and Income Generation
- Have proven experience or background in Fundraising and Income Generation Ability to take the lead on strategy and convey this to relevant parties.

- Have a commitment to the organisation and its aims. Become a member of FoWG Have a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort. Possess good judgement and independence of mind. Show a willingness to work collectively as part of a group. Seek constructive debate and dialogue over confrontation. Agree to the Trustee Declaration and Code of Conduct.
