We are now looking for a Personal Assistant to Auxiliary Bishop to join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working 28 hours per week across four days, however, this is negotiable upon appointment.

This is a terrific opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with experience in an administrative and/or secretarial role to join our dedicated organisation and support the vital work of an Auxiliary Bishop.

You will play a key role in supporting the Bishop’s ministry, enhancing your administrative and organisational skills while contributing to the smooth running of a large and respected faith-based organisation.

The Role

As a Personal Assistant, you will provide key support to the Auxiliary Bishop to ensure his time is maximised and he can achieve the aims and goals of his office.

Working out of the Archbishop’s House, you will be the first point of contact for the Bishop’s office, managing his day-to-day correspondence and telephone enquiries and co-ordinating his diary.

Liaising with other PAs and the Cardinal’s Private Secretary as necessary, you will organise all aspects of the Bishop’s day-to-day working life, ensuring efficiency and achievement are paramount.

Specifically, you will:

- Process all correspondence in line with diocesan protocol
- Book travel and insurance
- Create meeting minutes and agendas
- Compile and maintain a database of contacts and engagements
- Set up weekend parish visitation meetings
- Support the quick setup and smooth running of engagements

About You

To be considered as a Personal Assistant, you will need:

- Experience in an administrative and/or secretarial role
- Experience of working with senior management in a large, complex organisation
- An understanding of the Catholic Church, its structure and organisation
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Computer literacy
