This will include finding new funding opportunities as well as continuing to build our relationships with our regular donors. We are looking for someone ambitious and creative and who is happy to roll their sleeves up and happy to get involved to achieve our goals.

Key areas of responsibility include:

- Ensure events run smoothly and achieve financial targets.
- Research and identify grant opportunities.
- Write and submit grant proposals to secure funding from foundations and other grant-making organisations.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote fundraising initiatives.
- Collaborate with the management team to create fundraising materials, including brochures, social media content, and press releases.
- To establish financial and in-kind support and develop and maintain excellent relationships with community groups and individuals.
Key skills required for this role:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fundraising role, donor relations, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising and meeting financial targets.
- Experience of working with children preferred, although not essential.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in fundraising software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
About the organisation:
The employer provides a place where local children and young people with additional needs or disabilities can socialise, grow and have fun alongside their mainstream peers. With its strong focus on inclusivity, the Log Cabin welcomes all children regardless of ability or emotional, physical, behavioural and learning disabilities, allowing them to play and make new friends, and assuring that those with additional needs do not become socially isolated. Our values place the child at the centre of all we do, and this philosophy is shared by all our staff and volunteers.
We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We value diversity and inclusion in our team. We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
