Contract: Voluntary
Our client is a charity that is passionate about creating a future where every neighbourhood is thriving, every community is strong and able to shape its own destiny and no-one is held back by their background or circumstances. The charity is also committed to play their part in meeting the COP 26 climate change ambitions, including making their operations carbon neutral by 2030.
The charity drives achievement of this through successful delivery of a diverse range over 200 projects across the North East and Cumbria supporting people and local communities to thrive.
The new Trustees will be joining a talented Board, working alongside the Chief Executive, a strong senior leadership team, and dedicated colleagues and volunteers. The charity is looking to broaden and diversify their Board’s composition, filling skills gaps, and bringing new perspectives, ideas, and connections to their work. In order to help them to achieve this, they are recruiting several new board members.
As a Trustee you will bring intellectual versatility, energy and integrity to a skilled Board. You will contribute to the strategic direction of the charity and offer governance support to the executive team. You will bring sound reasoning attributes and the ability to think corporately and strategically.
You will be willing to engage fully not just in Board meetings but also in supporting the executive team with its longer-term strategic plan. Ideally you will have excellent networks and/or expertise that can help drive the organisation and continue to build the charity's reputation as the leading community regeneration charity in the region.
They are seeking a diverse set of skills – and lived experiences of the issues the charity address – in their new Trustees, and they are seeking individuals with an expertise including, but not limited to:
- Safeguarding
- Finance
- IT and Social Media
- People Strategy
- Development and Funding
- Legal
- Knowledge of the world we live and work in
If you believe that you can help the charity to change places and change lives, they would love to hear from you.
