Hope Community Project (Wolverhampton)

Fixed term until March 2025.

SCP 21 £24,508.85 pro rata (Actual £13,910.43 per annum)

Hope Community Project is an independent registered Charity that has been working for the past 39 years with the most vulnerable and isolated members of the community in the Heath Town area of Wolverhampton. We support people towards achieving a brighter future, financially, socially and mentally.   Its aim is to address the issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent cost of living crisis to secure the futures of local people by improving their financial wellbeing, raise educational and employability aspirations, reduce loneliness and social isolation.

The Hope Centre is at the heart of the community and the main role of the Centre Coordinator is to oversee the day-today management of the centre, maximise use by maintaining a busy weekly timetable and the development of new activities and is funded by the National Lottery’s Community Fund.

The purpose of the role is to provide both community development and building management, ensuring the smooth and safe delivery of our weekly programme, and provide a welcoming environment for all users.

You will be required to support members of the public attending sessions such as stay and play, ESOL, afterschool clubs and other informal learning opportunities by building relationships and trust.

This position requires an enthusiastic, creative individual to support the successful operation of the centre. You will have the required drive, passion and determination to help the centre deliver specific outputs, maximising the use of the centre to achieve a range of outcomes for the local community.

Applications need to be submitted by Friday 14th June 2024 and interviews will be held week beginning Monday 24th June 2024
