1. Position & Status

  • Position: Non-Executive Director (NED)
    Status: Part-time
    Location: London (with consideration for hybrid options)

2. Responsibilities The Non-Executive Director ("Director") will undertake the following key responsibilities:

2.1 Strategic Advice

  • Provide independent, challenging, and objective advice on corporate strategy, business performance, and risk management.

2.2 Support to CEO and Senior Management

  • Serve as a sounding board for the CEO and senior management team, offering guidance and support as needed.

2.3 Stakeholder Representation

  • Represent both internal and external stakeholder interests, aligning with LITC’s mission and objectives.

2.4 Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of LITC's strategic plan.

2.5 Board Effectiveness

  • Review and monitor the effectiveness of the board of directors, both collectively and individually.

2.6 Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.

2.7 Board Meetings

  • Attend quarterly board meetings, participating actively in discussions and decision-making processes.

2.8 Industry Insights

  • Stay informed of industry developments, providing relevant insights to the board.


3. Qualifications The Director is expected to possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven track record in senior management or executive roles in compatible sectors.
    Strong knowledge in corporate governance and risk management, especially in education and international development.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Strategic and creative thinking abilities.
    Robust business acumen and comprehension of complex financial information.
    Relevant industry experience and knowledge.

4. Terms and Conditions

  • This role is non-executive and part-time.
    Expected attendance at quarterly meetings and ad-hoc availability of 1 day per month.
    No monetary compensation; reimbursements provided for attendance at quarterly meetings.
    Hybrid working options considered, with a base location in the London office.
