Exciting Senior Marketing Executive Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual for a Senior Marketing Executive role within our Marketing and Insights Team. You will be an integral part of our marketing team, working together to lead the strategic planning, support, and delivery of integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote regular giving for the University of Oxford.

About the role:

You will create exciting, innovative marketing campaigns and fundraising appeals that inform supporters and encourage donations, through collaboration with senior stakeholders across the University. You will be able to interpret the insights and analyse the results to support continuous learning and increase the success of our fundraising and engagement campaigns.

You will manage the creative process for all marketing materials, ensuring that work is executed to a high standard, with clear and cohesive messages. You will also provide strategic advice and operational support for key stakeholders, sharing knowledge and insights on marketing and supporting the best use of our DARS CRM database and audience segmentation.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced marketer with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will have experience in strategic thinking based on sound data, and an analytical approach to campaign development.

Our marketer would have strong project management skills and be able to work to campaign deadlines, while liaising across internal and external stakeholders. Ability to liaise with senior stakeholders across the University to deliver successful campaigns is key.

Whilst the role is a Grade 8 position, we would be willing to consider candidates with potential, but less experience, who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at Grade 7 (£36,024– £48,350 p.a.) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. This would be discussed with applicants at interview/appointment where appropriate.

What We Offer:

Your happiness and wellbeing at work matter to us, so we offer a range of family-friendly, financial and professional benefits, including:

  • The opportunity for hybrid working
  • Exceptional contributory pension scheme and salary sacrifice options
  • 38 days annual leave
  • Comprehensive childcare services and family-friendly leave schemes
  • Cycle loan scheme and discounted bus travel
  • Subsidised University Sports Centre membership
  • Engaging social groups and sports clubs beyond the workplace
  • Membership to CASE for advancement professionals
  • Access to a wide range of training and development opportunities

How to apply:

Applications should consist of a full CV and a cover letter (maximum of two pages) outlining your motivations to apply for this role, your relevant experience and how you meet the criteria of the person specification.

  • Only applications received before 12.00 noon on 20 November 2023 can be considered.
  • Interviews are currently scheduled to take place on 28 November 2023, in person in Oxford.

The Development Office is committed to equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging. We encourage applicants from all sectors of the community and are especially keen to encourage candidates from under-represented groups to apply.
