About us

Our purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. Since the 19th century, our crews have been risking their lives to save those who are in danger of drowning and now we’re looking for a Data Analyst to join the Fundraising Data and Systems Team.

The team supports customers throughout Fundraising, Marketing and Media by making information available to decision makers, designing and delivering analysis in support of fundraising projects.

The team work across both operational and strategic projects, supporting allocation of resources for fundraising investment opportunities. We use data and technology to improve performance and inform data-driven decisions.

Your Role

As a Data Analyst, with a number of analytical tools at your disposal, you will be responsible for delivering reports, analysis and insight to support and inform the RNLI’s fundraising decision making processes.

On a day-to-day, you will:

  • Work across the data analysis steps, whether that is preparing, modelling, crating visualisations, analysing, and managing data and reports.
  • Use a tool set that includes FastStats, Alteryx and PowerBI.
  • Work with other data analysts and subject matter experts on projects to develop one off fundraising insight.

About You

You’ll be comfortable using data tool techniques to generate insight for high level decision makers who are shaping the future of the RNLI.

To be considered as our Data Analyst, you will need:

  • Expertise in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools such as FastStats, Alteryx, SPSS, Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Enthusiasm to develop and learn new analysis tools and techniques.
  • Desirable: Experience in fundraising or direct marketing environment.
  • Desirable: Experience in working with FastStats Discoverer.
  • Desirable: Line management experience.
