HR Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Administrator to join on a fixed term contract to help with all aspects of the employee life cycle, payroll and recruitment.

Position: HR Administrator

Location: London

Salary: £28,143.18 per annum (pro rata)

Contract: Fixed term (maternity cover until end of February 2023)

Benefits: Contributory pension scheme, generous travel to work allowance, 25 days annual leave, plus 8 Bank Holidays pa.

About the role:

As HR Administrator You will be responsible for assisting the HR Advisor and Head of Human Resources where necessary, providing specific administrative support in all matters regarding employees and Officers ensuring this is undertaken in line with best practice, procedures, legislation, and the charity’s ethos. As the first point of contact for the HR Section, the HR Administrator will deal with a wide variety of queries and tasks, liaising with all levels of stakeholders.

You will be working for a charity that is both a Christian Church and an international humanitarian charity, serving people around the globe in over 130 countries without prejudice or discrimination. Based in the City of London, you will work closely together as a team and with the wider organisation, enjoy a lively sense of humour and work from modern offices adjacent to the Millennium Bridge.

About you:

This role will suit an individual who is passionate about humanitarian aid. You will need the following skills and experience:

 

  • Experience working in a busy HR department providing excellent administrative support to the team
  • Understanding of key HR areas such as recruitment, selection, induction, performance, reward, employment law and associated policies
  • Experience of using a HR information System (HRIS) including inputting information, extracting information, running reports and making changes to employee records
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 Teams, Outlook Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience working with statistical data
  • Experience of providing first line support re: employee queries, knowing when to escalate issues to the line manager
  • Experience of dealing with recruitment and selection process including advertising roles and setting up interviews
  • Understanding of how HR and Payroll work together and experience of collating information for the Payroll team, including completing salary calculations

 

 

  • Good general education including Maths and English.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or studying towards an HR qualification
