This is an exciting time for this organisation who are seeking a talented, enthusiastic Head of Evaluation, Insights and Learning to join at this critical stage of the charity’s development.

The Head of Evaluation, Insights and Learning is a new senior role offering the exciting opportunity to lead on the development of the strategy for evaluation and learning, to help understand the impact and inform the future strategy.

Position: Head of Evaluation, Insights and Learning

Location: Hybrid – Warwick (regular travel can be expected)

Salary: £50,000-£55,000 per annum

Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week)

Benefits: 10% pension contributions, 28 days’ annual leave

Closing Date: Friday 19th August

The Role:

The Head of Evaluation, Insights and Learning is a new senior role offering an experienced and creative individual the exciting opportunity to shape the impact and future strategy of the charity.

You will lead the evaluation, insights and learning function, ensuring the charity can demonstrate the impact of its work to support the NHS workforce, patients and communities and put the learning into practice. You will also help to support the evaluation and learning capacity and capability of the network of over 230 NHS charities to help demonstrate the huge difference made by the sector.

Key Responsibilities

The main duties and responsibilities of the role holder are as outlined below:

 

  • Positioning the organisation as a sector leader for insight into the health sector, working closely with the programmes and partnership team
  • Lead on the development of an insights and learning strategy, collaborating closely with teams across the organisation

 

 

  • Gather insights and develop processes that support and inform the future development of the organisational strategy
  • Be an advocate for learning and evaluation, demonstrating best practice and thought leadership to the wider organisation
  • Provide leadership and line management of the evaluation and learning team and be an active member of the senior management team

 

About you:

To be successful in this role the Head of Evaluation, Insights and Learning will have well-developed communications skills, and the ability to lead the dissemination of evaluation findings and deliver training and workshops to support internal and external stakeholders.

You will have:

 

  • Senior experience of working on systems change and a strategic approach to sector-wide impact monitoring and evaluation
  • A strong knowledge of evaluation techniques and methodologies
  • You will be a creative, enthusiastic, and autonomous worker with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Substantial experience in leading a team is essential, as is the ability to develop long-lasting positive relationships
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative and open approach
  • A passion and drive, committed to delivery
