HR Manager
Do you relish a challenge where you can be the architect of a new era of how HR supports a charitable education organisation?
We are seeking an HR Manager for a community-based, independent, specialist college that offers education, training and independent living skills for young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
Position: HR Manager
Location: Mountsorrel, Leicestershire - potential flexible or hybrid working and full working from home during College vacation periods (excluding essential face to face meetings).
Salary: Circa £40,000 FTE per annum – Pro rata
Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week
Benefits: 30 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays and 1 additional closure day (pro rata for part-time). 5% employer pension contributions, company sick pay, CIPD professional membership fees, Mental Health First Aider support and training, opportunity to participate in local social responsibility projects.

About you:
We are seeking a true HR generalist, able to quickly turn your hand to an array of activities. You will need to bring with you the following skills and experience
- Level 5 CIPD qualification in Human Resources Management with evidence of ongoing CPD.
- Experience in a generalist role, specifically managing change projects
- Up-to-date employment law knowledge.
- Experience of leading an HR team.
- Good IT skills, in Microsoft 365 applications.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Establish your credibility with our managers and key stakeholders.
- Develop and adopt different engagement approaches with our team to support the culture.
- Work collaboratively with senior and operational managers to coach, develop and support their people management skills and improve employee engagement.
- Lead and support the delivery of change across the organisation
- Bring new ideas and best practices in HR to the organisation.
- Support, develop and coach 2 HR team members
- Undertake and oversee employee relations casework
Although not essential for the role, it would be beneficial for you to have experience in an FE College, School/Academy Trust or highly regulated environment e.g. Healthcare. Also experience of managing the HR aspects of safeguarding would be helpful.
