Head of Community and Events

Looking to make your mark in Community and Events Fundraising?

Are you an ambitious leader who wants to build a successful strategy and deliver results? Do you love a challenge and want to deliver dynamic and forward-thinking Community and Events Fundraising initiatives? If so, then this is the role for you! We are looking for a Head of Community and Events to join our close knit and innovative Fundraising team.

This is a great opportunity to build on existing successes and further develop our community reach and events portfolio. You’ll be an intrinsic part of the Richard House community and wider Fundraising Team and will see, first-hand, the results of your work and the impact that it has on our children and families.

As Head of Community and Events, you will develop our five-year strategy, engage new audiences and make the best use of our networks. This is an exciting and varied role and we are very fortunate to enjoy considerable support from our local communities, including local faith groups, particularly the Muslim community, a large number of Freemasons’ Chapters, schools, local businesses and other local groups.

We’re looking for an experienced team leader who can motivate and coach individuals to deliver their best work. You will have demonstrable experience in planning and executing community and events fundraising strategy and will have a track record of delivering on target. You will be able to communicate with people at all levels and adapt to changing priorities. The ability to work flexibly (including occasional unsocial hours) is vital and we’ll offer flexibility in return.

Richard House is currently operating a hybrid working model, giving you the opportunity to work both remotely and in the office for part of each week.

Richard House is committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. Successful candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
