New opportunity not to be missed! Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Challenge Events Manager to join our Mass Participation and Events team in the Fundraising department. 

This is a full-time permanent opportunity with a closing date of 19th July 2022. 

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Mass Participation and Events team where you will be responsible for the management of our third-party challenge events, with oversight of all aspects including marketing, logistics and stewardship. The post holder will have responsibility for generating growth in the programme as well as line-managing the Mass Participation Fundraising Officer who supports the delivery of our challenge events.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of developing and delivering successful marketing plans as well as managing events. They will also possess excellent relationship building skills, with a particular strength of communicating confidently with both internal and external stakeholders.  Creativity, initiative and strong organisational skills are essential to the success of this role.

Main responsibilities include:
•    Managing and successfully delivering Centrepoint’s portfolio of third-party challenge events 
•    Leading the development and delivery of multi-stream marketing strategies to successfully recruit challenge event participants 
•    Researching opportunities to grow the programme, in order to increase income and participation
•    Line-management of the Mass Participation Fundraising Officer
•    Working collaboratively with the Mass Participation and Events team to support one another to collectively reach the team target.
