PR and Communications Officer
Ref: PRACO July 2022
Permanent contract / 35 hours per week
£32,000 per year
Camden, London (some flexible working considered)

About the role

In challenging times, the charity provides immediate, practical help to disabled and disadvantaged children, plus their parents and families. Now they are looking to fill a key role – they want someone who knows how to connect our children’s stories to the audiences who need to hear them.

If you’re a natural communicator who loves meeting people, clicking with them, and telling their stories then this role might be for you. You’ll be a skilled interviewer, happy working with children and you’ll know how to find, write up and package stories in the most effective way. And - just as important - you’ll know how to push stories out to and gain traction with key audiences using PR and social media channels.

As part of a small, friendly team you’ll work with all sorts of people. You’ll need to build relationships with colleagues in the fundraising and programmes teams, volunteers, trustees and external agencies. It’s a varied role and one that will demand your best time management and organisational skills, plus attention to detail.

In return the charity offers a supportive and positive working environment, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a generous pension scheme and a health and well-being cash plan scheme.

How does that sound? If you believe that you can make a difference in this newly formed role then the organisation would love to hear from you.

Closing Date: Monday 1st August 2022 at 9.00am
