We have an exciting opportunity for two Caseworkers to join the team in Essex. One vacancy is working 37.5 hours a week on a fixed term contract, the other is part-time working 22.5 hours per week on a permanent basis. These roles will be based at the Ingatestone office with the opportunity for hybrid working. (Please state on your application which vacancy you are interested in).

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week or part time, 22.5 hours per week

Salary: FTE £24,994.45 per annum

Duration: Full time role is fixed term until March 2023, part-time role is permanent

The Role

As a Caseworker you will be working as part of the experienced team, supported by the Senior Caseworker, to provide one-to-one support to victims of crime, primarily domestic violence, and abuse across Essex.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage a caseload providing advocacy, emotional and practical support primarily over the telephone but the charity also offers face to face support as required by clients.
• Complete risk and needs assessments signposting and making referrals for clients as required.
• Build and maintain relationships with local partnerships and services to deliver and improve support to victims of domestic abuse throughout the area.

About You

As a Caseworker you will be working as part of an experienced team, supported by the Senior Caseworker, to provide one-to-one support to victims of crime, primarily domestic violence, and abuse across Essex.

You will have:

• An understanding of domestic abuse and the impact that it has on victims and their families.
• The ability to be organised and able to deal with competing demands in order to manage your caseload effectively.
• Good IT skills as you will be using Microsoft Office along with internal systems on a regular basis.
