Our client, an environmental and social regeneration charity, is looking for an ESOL Tutor to support their integration programmes.

They deliver a series of innovative social integration programmes focused on supporting migrants and refugees to integrate into life in the UK, through a programme of holistic activities including, language, employment support and cultural / community activities.

Contract: Fixed term until 31st December 2022
Salary: £26,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full and part-time considered)

The ESOL Tutor will create a programme of English sessions including group and one-to-one conversational English to be delivered online and face to face. By providing conversational English support, the programme seeks to improve participants’ abilities to communicate with English language speakers and enable them to access services and support social integration. This exciting role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to use creative methods to teach English.

You will hold an appropriate ESOL qualification and have the experience to enable you to deliver ESOL programmes to individuals and groups. You will have a sound knowledge of and be proficient in using Microsoft Corporate Applications Software, and video conferencing software and be able to utilise them to manage and deliver your work tasks and responsibilities effectively.

  • Experience planning and facilitating a range of interactive and creative English classes for participants, online and in-person
  • Creative solutions to overcome common barriers in participation including English as a second language
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
