Our client is a charity that makes sure people living with MS are at the centre of everything they do. And it’s this commitment that unites them across the UK.

The charity's work is based on the hopes and aspirations of the MS community. Together they campaign at all levels, fund ground-breaking research and provide award winning support and information.

The charity's people are their greatest asset and the key to their success. They offer a vibrant, progressive environment where you will make a difference.

About this job

The charity's gifts in wills team plays an important role in the fight to stop MS. Bringing in around £11m per year and accounting for 40% of the charity's annual income.

As part of their ambitious 2022 plans, they have the opportunity to grow their gifts in wills programme and are looking for a new Legacy Executive to join their friendly, creative and hard-working team.

The charity's highly valued team works closely together to promote and administer gifts left to the organisation in supporters wills.

If you’re looking for a new challenge and a chance to learn more about gifts in wills fundraising and administration, this could be an opportunity for you to expand your knowledge and experience, to develop in the sector.

This is a wide-ranging role, providing clerical and administrative support for both legacy administration and marketing. Enabling the charity's gifts in wills team to continue to increase the number of people considering and pledging gifts in wills.

Securing future income from previous gifts left to support the charity’s vital work to find treatments for everyone and until then, work to make sure no one has to face MS alone.

Your strong administration skills will ensure you can assist the team with accurate recording of income on their database systems, banking and correspondence.

Updating personal, financial and legal information, whilst providing excellent supporter care through all communication channels and being the first point of contact for all enquiries around legacy gifts.

This is not solely an administration role though and you will have opportunities to develop your marketing and fundraising skills through your involvement in a variety of activities such as events, appeals, digital marketing and communications.

You'll be a confident communicator. Excellent at establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with a wide variety of people from solicitors to suppliers, supporters, service users and the recently bereaved, showing professionalism, empathy and sensitivity at all times.

In addition to having strong administration skills and a keen attention to detail, you’ll be able to demonstrate a high level of quality control over data capture and input, be an analytical thinker, who is always looking for ways to improve and happy to take on new challenges.

If you’re enthusiastic and are motivated by making a difference and learning new skills you will become a valued member of the team working alongside highly motivated colleagues in an environment of strong teamwork. Getting a chance to grow and develop this very rewarding area of fundraising.
