Vacancy - Event Manager
Location - Chalk Farm, London, UK

About the Roundhouse:

The Roundhouse is a hub of inspiration where artists and emerging talent create extraordinary work and where young people can grow creatively as individuals. We believe in the power of creativity to change lives. By giving young people the chance to engage with the arts through our music, media and performance projects, we inspire them to reach further, dream bigger, and achieve more. By joining the Roundhouse Commercial Events Team, you will have the opportunity to see how your work directly impacts the Young People who work with the Roundhouse as a result of the commercial income your role achieves.

The Commercial Events Team manage a range of private hire events throughout the year, from high end large production Fashion shows to large charity fundraising Galas. We have been lucky enough to work with a range of clients including Aston Martin, ASOS and Amazon for up to 1500 guests.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Events Manager & Planner to support the management, planning, delivery and execution of the Roundhouse Commercial Events Hire Programme. The post will act as a central point of contact for event clients and production teams, and manage up to 30 events per year following contract to live event.

About you:

We’ll expect you to have at least 2 years’ professional experience in event management, ideally within an entertainment venue or within the commercial events sector, as well as a good working knowledge of the live events industry. But possibly even more important will be your attention to detail, fantastic communication and time management skills, and your calm and creative approach to solving problems. A good understanding of reviewing RAMS and managing room booking systems is also desirable.

We welcome applications from people who feel they can bring their own experiences and ideas to the table and empower those around them to do the same, and encourage those currently underrepresented across the music & Events industry and all intersections of our diverse society to apply.

The successful candidate must have a current and acceptable DBS check, or be willing to undertake one, due to the nature of the role.
