Location: Hybrid working between home and our London Head Office
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday but we’re open to flexible working 
Contract type: Fixed term until end of January 2024, with the possibility of extension
Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum (Including inner London weighting allowance of £3,344 per annum)

We’re driving change at the Red Cross so it’s a genuinely exciting time to join the team. We’re looking for an inspirational leader to take on a key role as Head of Regional Fundraising & Events.

What you will be doing

You’ll be responsible for the overall regional fundraising and events programme at the British Red Cross, which is delivered by both staff and volunteers. This includes management of regional corporates, regional trusts, mass participation events, challenge events, and supporter-led fundraising.

You’ll also be accountable for devising and delivering the cross organisational strategy to achieve our ambitious fundraising growth objectives.

You and your team will inspire the generosity of the British public, and the money you raise will be a lifeline for people in crisis when they find themselves at their most vulnerable.

This role could be for you if…

You have in depth knowledge of mass participation events and regional/community fundraising practices. Ideally, you have delivered fundraising & events programmes at a medium - large organisation

You’re an experienced leader and people manager and can motivate and lead by example.

You’ve proven strategy development and planning skills with excellent numeracy and analytical ability and can model income and review return on investment.

So if you have proven experience, are a catalyst for change with vision and a natural flair for fundraising, then this just might be the role for you.

Fundraising is critical to enabling our services that help people in crisis - whether that's in the UK or overseas. Sitting within the wider Fundraising & Supporter Engagement Department, Regional Fundraising & Events are a vital team, of over 40 individuals, that empower, connect and inspire people across the UK to support our work in the way that suits them.

BRC takes an innovative and transformative approach to how we raise funds and engage our supporters. As part of our ongoing fundraising transformation programme, we are redefining and expanding our regional fundraising and events remit. We have ambitions to grow the programme and take it to significant scale by being audience led and delivering a diverse range of opportunities to support.
