About the organisation

Passionate, caring and trusted since 1970, this national charity provides more than 120 different services and works with around 60 Local Authorities across England in order to help disabled children and young people develop independence and achieve their aspirations.

As well as working with individuals from birth through to age 25, they offer invaluable support and practical help for their families too, in environments where there’s a real sense of achievement. The work can be challenging, and humbling at times, but it’s also hugely rewarding and meaningful.

About The Role

The Bracknell play scheme delivers a holiday play scheme and a Saturday service (during term time).

The service uses community facilities as a base, but also delivers a range of outings from farm trips to specialist adventure playgrounds. You will be supported by a senior support worker.

As the service coordinator you will be the registered manager for Ofsted early years.

The role also involves supporting their small after school and play scheme service in Oxford. This will involve weekly catch up support for the local Senior Practitioner leading the service.  This will be via telephone and video call support with occasional meetings in person. In person support may be once a month depending on circumstances.

This role is a full time role mainly based in Bracknell from their local office.

About You

They are looking for someone with the skills to deliver planned group support to disabled children and young people and manage a small team of sessional workers in the delivery of good outcomes.

You will need to have good communication skills as you will be communicating with a range of stakeholders (parents, social workers, health professionals).  You will also need to have good report writing skills.
