We are looking for an outstanding Surveyor to join the Litter and Place Services team, with an immediate start.

You will be working for an iconic and dynamic charity, providing first-class solutions to environmental challenges. For more than 60 years, they have campaigned for cleaner, greener places and delivered programmes aimed at encouraging organisations and individuals to reduce their environmental impact.

The work of the charity has never been more informed, important and urgent.

Position: Surveyor – Immediate Start

Location: London

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £27,811p.a.

Contract: Immediate Start, fixed Term Contract to 31 March 2023 (with the potential to extend)

About the Role

The Litter and Place Services team works to generate local, regional and national support the charity through the development and delivery of client focused solutions to land and greenspace managers and others with a need for the charity’s services and solutions. The main feature of this role is to deliver on the ground local environmental quality surveys for clients in London and primarily Southern England. You will be fully trained in local environmental quality surveys and supported through all stages of the role. You will also be expected to write client reports, plan own surveys including mapping and logistics and support client feedback meetings.

About You

As a Surveyor, you will have a willingness to work across London and other parts of England and to spend periods of time away from home as required for survey work or special events. The role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to develop good working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ideally experience of report writing and be willing to work independently and be flexible in the role.

Due to the nature of some of the projects you will need to have an ability and willingness to work (occasional) evenings and weekends as required and to spend short periods of time away from home as required for project work or special events.
