About the job 

This is a newly created opportunity for a professional with an established background in Health and Social Care legislation and practice to help us achieve our purpose, which is to deliver welfare and wellbeing support to our beneficiaries.  As Senior Casework Manager, you will provide direct support to our regional casework team based at Atlas House, Leicester, who support our beneficiaries in the East, Scotland, NI and Overseas.  Additionally, you will support our Regional Casework Managers in our North and West regions, ensuring effective quality assurance and providing guidance and oversight of service co-ordination, education, and policy and programme development.  You will lead on the implementation and review of welfare policy, procedures and practice to comply with best practice principles and legislative requirements. The role involves being able to to analyse and interpret complex information, identifying recommendations to improve the quality of provision. Previous budgetary experience is essential as you will assist in the preparation of the annual budget and directly manage a delegated budget (Circa, £100k) 

We could not do our work without our amazing trained Caseworker volunteers!  With circa 800 volunteers currently supporting our casework service, you will work in collaboration with our Welfare Training Manager to ensure all casework training is up to date to ensure that we continue to deliver evidence based person centred casework support to our beneficiaries.     

About you   

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in Health and Social Care along with a Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.  With strong knowledge and experience of community care support services and appropriate legislation and practice within the social care sector, you will also have  leadership experience of managing a social care service through large geographically dispersed teams, inspiring to deliver impactful results against challenging targets.   As a persuasive and influential communicator you will have outstanding written and verbal communication and social skills, with the ability to impart complex concepts and ideas with clarity and passion.  Flexibility in your working hours will be required as there will be occasions where you will visit regional offices and represent the Association at a senior level at stakeholder meetings and events.
