Position: Volunteer Coordinator
Contract: Fixed term contract up to 30 September 2023
Hours: Part-time (28 hours per week)
Location: Home-based in Wales
Salary: £24,248 - £25,829 per annum (FTE £30,310 - £32,287) plus excellent benefits
Salary Band: Band E1

About this job

Please note this is a part time role (28 hours per week) and is a fixed term contract up to 30 September 2023. The charity will consider applications looking for slightly less hours too (e.g 21 hours a week).

The charity's work is rooted in what people affected by MS have told them is most important to them.  To accomplish this, the organisation work very closely with their enthusiastic and committed volunteers, many of whom have MS. 

Volunteers are absolutely essential and key to ensuring the creation, success and continuation of the charity's grassroots development and support projects. 

The ‘Pontio’ (To Bridge) project, is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund in Wales’ People and Places grant until September 2023.

The Pontio team champion the lives, families and carers of people living with MS in Wales and ensure that they have access to the support they require, at the time of their choice, delivered in a way that best suits their individual needs.

Many service users will be recently diagnosed, or struggling to live with their condition.  A small and dedicated team of volunteers offer information, befriending and group support to people with MS across Wales. 

You’ll be supporting the Pontio Volunteers to carry out their role; recruiting and training new volunteers as needed; and preparing reports for funders.   The project volunteers have already changed people’s lives for the better; and now you can help the charity maintain this vital service.
