Job Title:              Direct Marketing Manager (Individual Giving)

Location:               Remote with occasional travel in England. (Hybrid working may be possible if you live near one of our locations).

Salary:                   £31,000- £37,000 per year

Hours:                   Full time, 37.5 hours per week (part-time or flexible hours considered)

Reports to:             Head of Fundraising

Direct reports:        None at present, but maybe in future.

Are you an experienced direct-marketer keen to make a difference to the lives of people who are often overlooked in society?

Yes? Then you could be exactly who we need to drive our direct marketing campaigns raising funds to support people with learning and other disabilities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Driving our work to raise single and regular donations from people who share our beliefs
  • Planning and delivering direct-marketing campaigns which attract new supporters and retain existing ones
  • Tailoring communications to specific audience segments
  • Designing engaging supporter communication journeys
  • Managing relationships with creative agencies
  • Managing income and expenditure budgets, and reporting on performance

You will bring:

  • A positive, proactive approach, open to testing new ideas
  • Experience of delivering successful online or offline marketing campaigns (minimum 18 months)
  • A good understanding of what makes a strong message or proposition
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate sensitively with supporters, beneficiaries, and colleagues
  • Excellent organisational skills

If you have experience of working in the charity sector before that’s great, but it’s not essential. The most important thing is you have the right skills, experience, and attitude.

You’ll be joining us at an exciting time as plan to invest in fundraising, particularly direct marketing campaigns. You’ll be encouraged to test new ideas and be given the autonomy to expand this area of our work.

The role is home-based, you’ll just need to travel every now and again to meet colleagues and visit our communities.
