St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices: St Barnabas House adult hospice in Worthing and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice near Arundel in Sussex. We are well known and loved in our community with a successful Major Giving Fundraising team working as part of a wider fundraising department.

As Major Gifts Manager, you will be working with our major donor supporters and prospects to inspire them and help them in their philanthropic journey with us. You will be a key contributor to the development of St Barnabas Hospices’ major donor programme through the successful recruitment and cultivation of new prospects alongside personally managing a portfolio of existing high level major donors.

You will be a confident, friendly person who recognises the importance of relationship development within major donor fundraising. You will be experienced in managing relationships with HNWI and prospective donors capable of giving 5-6 figure level gifts. You will thrive in a busy environment, be able to work autonomously and target driven.

Managing a team of 2 the post holder will be an exceptional people manager and will create a culture of collaboration across the wider Major Giving Team, working closely with Trusts and Corporates Managers. You will be expected to be in one of our offices 2-3 days a week, and as required for team meetings, management meetings etc.
