This is a permanent position with a salary in the range of £50K - £52K per annum plus paid holiday, flexible working and benefits package.

About us

We are the British Paralympic Association (BPA). As the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) for Great Britain, it is our responsibility to select, prepare, enter, fund and manage the ParalympicsGB team at Summer and Winter Paralympic Games. We also promote the success of the athletes to inspire wider societal change; our aim is an environment for disabled people in the UK that is genuinely inclusive in sport and society

With the excitement of the recent Tokyo Paralympic Games and the Beijing Winter Games still fresh in our minds, and preparations for Paris 2024 well under way, there could not be a more exciting time to join us!

We offer a wide range of benefits including: pension, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme, employee assistance programme, private healthcare and a generous holiday entitlement.

We are based in accessible, modern offices in the heart of London, where this role will be based; we also have a new ‘performance hub’ on campus at Loughborough University. We have a flexible approach to working patterns. This commitment to flexibility in how we work, when we work and where we work is an important feature of life at the BPA and we will do all we can to help you work in a way that suits you within organisational needs.

Come and meet us, we’re great to work with. In a recent survey, when asked what was great about working at the BPA, staff said the following:

There is a real sense of team and a real sense of pride throughout the organisation. People really work well together.”

“Being part of an organisation with real impact and purpose, working alongside really kind and talented people.”

“It’s a great environment to work in and you have the knowledge that you are making a difference.”

About you

You will be excited about taking ownership of all key financial processes in a small but very busy team. You will be committed to delivering the “must-do tasks” on time whilst always looking for improvements in the way we do things.

You’ll be great at building relationships across the organisation and working with non-finance colleagues to help meet their information needs.

Your experience of managing all aspects of the accounting system, online banking, payroll (with the support of a payroll agency), donor reporting and charity VAT will all be important as will your skills in managing your time and prioritising your workload

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment. We are a close-knit team who work collaboratively (nationally and internationally) across a range of Games planning and delivery projects. You’ll be someone who takes pride in providing service to our colleagues and helping the BPA achieve its strategic goals. Our twin priorities as an elite sporting organisation with a commitment to social change creates a fun, lively and professional organisation.

The successful candidate will be supported every step of the way on their journey with the BPA. We are committed to ‘a positive Team experience from start line to finish line and beyond…’ and are committed to helping all our staff develop their skills and reach their full potential.
