Independent Living Manager – Carers Services 

Up to £33,381 per annum, pro rata 

21 hours –  with flexible/agile working 

Permanent 

Based in Weston-Super-Mare and Portishead 

Actual Salary – Up to £18,945 per annum  

About the role: 

Our client has a really great opportunity for an individual to join their Carers Team and make a difference to the lives of Adult and Young unpaid carers in North Somerset. 

You will manage and deliver a responsive and accessible service for unpaid Carers and be responsible for the management of their contracts including service delivery, quality standards, team performance and budgets. 

You will promote their services widely to support North Somerset being a carer friendly area and you will place the view and needs of carers at the forefront of service planning and delivery. 

Unpaid carers are a huge unpaid workforce; your knowledge of the issues which affect unpaid Adult and Young Carers’, alongside a commitment to providing high quality person-centred support will result in outcomes that improve and change lives.  

About you: 

You will have already managed a team and have experience in managing health and safety responsibilities.

You will understand the issues that can affect both our adult and young carers and understand the legislation related to them. You will also have working knowledge of safeguarding (adults and children). 

You will have managed budgets before, or understand how to do this, and know how to write bids/tenders/grants applications. Therefore, strong communication and IT skills are needed. 

The successful candidate will also be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check. Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence with your access to your own car is required.
