Business Development Director / Bids & Tenders (Mental Health Charity) 

Birmingham

Hours 30-37.5 (optional)

 

Our client has grown significantly and is now seeking a permanent Director of Business Development who will have responsibility for their newly formed Business department, External Training department and all income generation activities. They have a well-earned reputation for excelling in quality delivery and play a key role in influencing and supporting the wider mental health system.

 

They are looking for a creative person who will be able to lead and innovate in bid writing and income generation and will be a key part of the senior leadership team.

 

The postholder will build sustainable funding streams that will support the Charity as it moves forward with their vision of “Better Mental Health For All”. They are looking for someone who is passionate about mental health, and about third sector delivery, and who is a team player.

 

Do you have:

 

  • Significant senior manager experience working with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience of being able to deliver successful tenders / bids of high quality within timescales set.
  • Experience of supporting operational managers to mobilise new services ensuring timescales are adhered to.
  • A can-do attitude that appreciates the variety of work needed in a Charity.
  • The ability to be an ambassador for the, their values and its achievements.
  • Sound governance, financial understanding and risk management experience.
