Healthwatch Waltham Forest
Are you an experienced manager and facilitator, passionate about working with people and communities in Waltham Forest and making sure their voices are heard? Are you a confident communicator who could represent local people and influence health and social care decision makers? If yes, you could be the person to lead the Healthwatch Waltham Forest team.
About Healthwatch Waltham Forest
We are the Boroughs’ independent health and social care champion. We believe that health and social care providers can best improve services by listening to people’s experiences, and we believe that everyone in society needs to be included in the conversation.
We listen to the issues that matter to local people and hear about their health and care experiences. As a statutory body, we have the power to make sure NHS leaders and other decision makers listen to public feedback and use it to improve standards of care. We can also help people find reliable and trustworthy information and advice.
You will lead and coordinate a small team of staff and volunteers and work in partnership with the local Healthwatch Waltham Forest Committee to deliver our work programme. You will manage the day to day activities including developing and overseeing the work programme, liaising with key partners and stakeholder and representing Healthwatch Waltham Forest at meetings.
Who we're looking for
You will be someone who shares our passion and commitment to ensure local people are heard and able to influence the development of services. You will have the ability to inspire and motivate people and an understanding of health and social care issues facing the NHS, local authorities and service providers.
