Are you a natural leader, an excellent organiser and passionate about making a difference to the natural environment?
Devon Wildlife Trust (DWT) is Devon’s leading wildlife conservation charity, with over 37,000 members, over 300 active volunteers, 100 staff and 60 nature reserves. We are one of the larger locally based organisations that collectively make up The Wildlife Trusts.
DWT has pioneered the reintroduction of beavers in England and the restoration of internationally rare habitats like Culm Grassland. We are also well known for our work in schools education and landscape scale conservation. We are one of the only Trusts with ISO14001 environmental accreditation and were one of the first to commit to achieving carbon neutrality. We are proud of our values and working culture and have held Investors in People accreditation for 20 years.
We are looking for a dynamic and committed individual to lead our support services including finance, human resources, governance, property and IT. You will have experience of working in corporate services at a senior level, and considerable knowledge and expertise in at least one of the areas listed above.
This is an exciting opportunity to build DWT’s financial resilience, enhance our property portfolio and deliver our ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 or earlier. You will enjoy working in a high performing and ambitious team and playing a key role in shaping the future of the organisation as part of the leadership team.
In return for your hard work and dedication you’ll enjoy a wide range of benefits including:
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to 28 days after 5 years’ service)
- Agile working arrangements including home working
- Contributory pension scheme (conditions apply)
- Death in Service cover
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
- Cycle to work scheme
- Training and development opportunities
This is a full-time, permanent post contractually based at Cricklepit Mill, Exeter. DWT operates a flexitime system, and this role offers the opportunity of hybrid working.
First round interviews are being held on Wednesday 29 June.
We welcome candidates of all backgrounds and abilities who meet the essential criteria for this role. We are an inclusive organisation that is seeking to involve more diverse audiences in our work.
