HR Manager

We are looking for an HR Manager to lead on the charity’s employee experience. You will be working closely with the CEO to set the people strategy for the organisation to deliver its ambitious goals to grow and help many more disabled people.

Position: HR Manager

Location: Hybrid working (minimum two days a week at the office in Bath)

Salary: £36,000 to £40,000 FTE dependent on experience

Duration: Permanent - 30-37.5 hrs/week (open to flexible working)

Benefits: Generous pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, 27 days holiday pro rata per year increases by 2 days after 5 years and by a further 4 days after 10 years’ continuous service. Salary exchange scheme, Employee Assistance, Winter flu vaccinations.

About the role:

As HR Manager you’ll be working on creating new people policies, advising managers on leading high performing teams, speaking to candidates applying for new roles and preparing reports and data on HR metrics.

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Recruitment, onboarding, and staff liaison
  • Reviewing and developing HR policies and processes
  • Advising and supporting managers and staff on all HR matters
  • Maintaining accurate employee records using a HR system (citrusHR)
  • Developing and implementing an induction and onboarding programme for new staff
  • Producing and analysing HR management information such as sickness and staff turnover
  • Developing, implementing, and coordinating the performance appraisal process including training
  • Conduct and analyse an annual staff survey and provide recommendations for improving motivation, health, and wellbeing

 

About you:

To be successful in the role of HR Manager, you will have proven experience as a HR generalist within a busy, fast paced, regulated environment. You will also have an HR related qualification, ideally CIPD or equivalent or working toward this.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Experience in providing excellent, high quality HR services throughout the entire employment life cycle
  • Experience managing the entire recruitment process
  • Experience of using an HR information system, managing, and interpreting data
  • Excellent understanding of current employment legislation and best practice
