Father Hudson’s Care (FHC) is the social care agency connected to the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham.  We are a regional charity and require an enthusiastic Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to join our team to raise funds for our work with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, rough sleepers and those experiencing homelessness, older people, children, families and adults with disabilities.  Home and Head office based the post holder will also spend time in our partnership Community projects across Birmingham and surrounds.

 

The role will be responsible for leading on applications to charitable Trusts and grant making organisations with a focus on our Community projects which rely on charitable income.  Our projects are a mixture of direct accommodation provision, outreach and community-based services delivered by staff and volunteer teams.  This role will work alongside our key projects including Tabor House, Brushstrokes Community Project, Fatima House, Sophia House and Young at Heart.  All our projects work in partnership with others, the role will also provide support and guidance to some of our partner independent charities/organisations including Maryvale Community Project, Hope Community, St Chad’s Sanctuary and Caritas Archdiocese of Birmingham,

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic fundraiser with proven experience in preparing funding plans and funding applications including larger Trusts, National Lottery and statutory grants and tenders.  The successful candidate will lead on bids as well as being part of local bid writing  with project managers.  The post holder will have excellent communication, planning and IT skills with knowledge on outcomes, monitoring and budget setting. In addition, they will be flexible, work on their own initiative, have access to a car and be able to work to tight deadlines.
