Location: Northampton

Hours: 28 per week, part time

Do you have experience of managing CQC registered services? Are you looking to progress your career to a Contracts Manager position?  

 

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated local professional to lead their ‘Transforming Care’ services in Northamptonshire as a Contracts Manager.

 

There are three personalised support services in Northampton, Patrick Court, Lyttleton Road and Saxon Court. Patrick Court is a cluster of 7 single-occupancy specialist flats and bungalows, Lyttleton Road is a block of 10 large single-occupancy apartments and Saxon Court has a mixture of 14 single and 2-person apartments. Their highly skilled and dedicated teams support people who may have lived in institutionalised hospital settings, or at home with their parents and have moved into a supported living environment for the first time. Alternatively, people may have experienced a range of previous support arrangements and need help to feel at home and settled.

What you will be doing:

As a Contracts Manager, you will maintain their existing strong relationships with the local authority and CCG commissioning teams, engaging in regular dialogue to ensure their provision continues to meet their expectations and identifying opportunities for growth and expansion across the county. You will provide support and leadership to their two current CQC Registered Managers, one in Northampton (West Northants) and one in Kettering (North Northants), ensuring they have the resources they need to deliver services that are Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led, obtaining and maintaining at least Good CQC ratings.

 

You and your teams will engage in reflective practice, constantly striving to find ways to support people to live healthy, happy, full & independent lives, delivering trauma-informed Positive Behaviour Support alongside people with learning disabilities and associated mental health issues and behaviours of concern. It is desirable if you are a positive behaviour support specialist. 

 

What you will need:

·     Degree/relevant professional qualification e.g. DMS/NVQ4 or standard equivalent and demonstration of continuing professional development

 

·     Demonstrable and successful management experience across a range of activities including substantial financial and staff management

 

·     Successful track record of contract management and compliance

 

·     Demonstrable experience of adapting to change and coping in challenging situations at work

Working days and hours:

 

This post carries 28 hours per week but we could accommodate 21 hours per week over 3 or 4 days flexibly, Monday – Friday (with occasional weekends if cover is required). Our client operates flexible working practices, which will allow you to manage your time around your caring or other responsibilities, whilst still being visible to the services you lead. You will spend a significant part of your week working on-site with managers, teams and service users. You will also be part of a wider supportive team of 7 Contracts Managers, reporting to their Head of Care & Support, and will need to attend their central office in Nottingham (90-minute drive from each service) a few times a month to collaborate on departmental initiatives. Due to these requirements a valid driving licence and regular access to a vehicle is essential.
