Global Communications Manager

Help transform billions of lives. Including yours.

Our client is an influential global campaigning organisation dedicated to ending factory farming.

With their teams in 11 countries around the world, including the US and China, they lead a growing worldwide movement of people concerned about how industrial agriculture is negatively impacting animals, people, and our planet. Ending factory farming will bring better lives to billions of farm animals, save wildlife from extinction, improve our health, and leave a planet fit for future generations. At the heart of this work is their Global Media Team, who shine a light on these issues to drive global change and they’re looking for an experienced communicator to join them.

About the role

In this role, you will assist the Global Head of Media, helping to build and deliver their global media strategy. You will publicise their work by developing dynamic communications campaigns, hard-hitting news stories, and compelling stories. You will work closely with their country offices, supporting colleagues to deliver successful campaigns that are consistent in messaging and brand. And you will build and maintain relationships with their key stakeholders - including high profile supporters, journalists, commentators, and news outlets - to spread our messages far and wide.

About you

This post requires strong media skills, creativity, and organisational skills. You will have previous experience in PR, preferably at an NGO; be able to convey strong and clear messaging and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will also be an excellent storyteller with a keen news sense and the ability to write for a range of channels and platforms. Strong traditional media knowledge is a must, along with the drive to sell in their stories to international media, and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Candidates should also have experience of working with high-profile supporters, an understanding of international media, and a keen interest in animal welfare and environmental issues.

Their commitment to diversity

Our client is committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of their background. They value diversity and lived experience, and acknowledge the underrepresentation of people from certain backgrounds, both within their organisation and across the sector. They welcome applications from underrepresented groups, whether these be of ethnicity, gender, identity, religion, physical ability, sexual orientation, or other.

Why work for Our client?

  • For animals, people, and planet: They are on a mission to end factory farming and create a world where fresh air and sunshine are natural parts of any farming system.
  • To expand your current skills, develop your career and make a difference to the lives of billions
  • They offer 25 days paid holiday
  • 45 minutes by train from London Waterloo, their international headquarters are in Godalming near Guildford, a picturesque market town on the banks of the river Wey.
  • They occupy modern, bright open plan offices just two minutes’ walk from Godalming station
  • Free parking
  • Free fruit!
