Fundraising Prospect Research Manager

Our client is a leading global farm animal welfare organisation campaigning to bring an end to factory farming and to implement the highest animal welfare standards in Europe and beyond.

Our client is looking for a Fundraising Prospect Research Manager to support the Global Major Gifts team and contribute to delivering their mission to end factory farming. With growing awareness of the impact of factory farming not only on animal welfare, but on human health and the environment, now is a unique moment to be helping to raise money for our client's work and bringing new supporters on board.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a new prospect research function in the Global Major Gifts team, focussing on the UK, US and European markets (where their fundraising is most active). You will provide strategically aligned prospect research, helping to identify and prioritise potential new supporters to help the Major Gifts team develop strategic partnerships based on donor interests, capacity and motivations. You will also be responsible for implementing their Ethical Fundraising & Donation Acceptance policies, ensuring a high-level of rigour in their application, and ensure GDPR regulations are adhered to.

They are looking for someone who has the focus, determination, attention to detail and knowledge of philanthropy research and trends to play a key role within Global Major Gifts. This new post presents an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to build on their policies and processes and create and implement new systems and templates to maximise their fundraising through research. You will report to the International Head of Major Gifts and work closely with the US Major Gifts & Development Director as part of a dynamic and supportive team of seven major gift and trust fundraisers based in the UK and USA.

Key responsibilities for the Fundraising Prospect Research Manager role include:

• Develop a first-class prospect research function, focusing on prospects based in the UK, US and Europe.
• Develop new systems and processes to identify, research and prioritise prospects from the database (Salesforce) and elsewhere, working closely with colleagues in the Database and Individual Giving teams
• Produce detailed in-depth prospect research profiles
• Support the Global Major Gifts team with their Ethical Fundraising & Donation Acceptance policies, and conduct due diligence where required
• Use Salesforce to report on and analyse their prospect pool and identify new supporters
• Support the team to maintain accurate donor records and ensure compliance with GDPR
• Contribute to wider Major Gifts activity and the overall success of the team
