Press and PR Manager
Salary: £32,000 pa
Hours: 36 hours per week (Flexible working patterns considered)
Location: Homebased – (with expectation of a day every two weeks in Leicester office)
Contract: Permanent

Over the past year this national family support charity has increased its media presence. Broadcast, print and online media coverage has highlighted the stories of families, their policy and influencing work, and their partnership with the John Lewis Partnership. This is now a fantastic opportunity to lead the development of a media and PR programme at a national charity supporting thousands of families across the UK.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the pressures families are under and the critical importance of organisations that are supporting parents and children. They are now looking for a new press and PR officer to take advantage of this increase in profile and make sure the charity and the families they support are at the heart of the conversation.

You will have at least three years’ experience in a similar role. You will have a passion for generating engaging and creative media coverage and be able to demonstrate previous success at securing media coverage across print, broadcast and online. But, most importantly, you will amplify the voices of the families they work with and be committed to diversifying the stories they tell and ensuring that voices from minority or marginalised communities are heard.

They are a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through their challenging times. They are there for parents when they are needed the most, because childhood can’t wait.

This full time post can either be at the their UK office in Leicester, or working from home with expectation of at least a day every two weeks in Leicester office.
