Globally and nationally wildlife is in steep decline. We appear to be reaching critical tipping points around the loss of biodiversity as well as around climate change, both being interlinked. Human society cannot prosper without wildlife and healthy ecosystems.
Kent’s wildlife needs to be restored to much higher levels. We can no longer allow common things to become rare. We can only do this by restoring large-scale habitat from degraded land. Doing this will contribute to solving global problems. But we won’t be able to do this unless we publicly aspire to a higher level of impact and show that we can deliver this.
The Job: This decade is critical for our planet - we have to, and can, take action! As Membership Acquisition and Retention Manager you will play an important role in our Fundraising and Communication team significantly impacting our work to protect and restore Kents Wildlife. and. The post holder (working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Membership) will be responsible for leading on our membership strategy to ensure the long-term financial security of Kent Wildlife Trust. Through increase membership acquisition, supporter retention and increased gift value. This is a post which will use to the full a broad mixture of skills built on wide, hands-on experience of membership and donor stewardship.
You: The qualities of the individual appointed to the post will play a large part in determining the nature of the job. The successful candidate will demonstrate a membership background and understanding of donor acquisition and retention. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, who is process driven, methodical and has good attention to detail. You will have experience in CRM systems, Gift Aid, BACs and GDPR.
We welcome applications from experienced individuals who have a proactive approach to creating solutions to achieve targets and is a confident decision maker. You will have experience in database management and the in use of data segmentation and analysis to inform direct marketing.
