Advance is a well-respected, award-winning, and innovative women-only organisation, established in 1998, providing emotional and practical support to women experiencing domestic abuse and supporting women with short-term sentences to reduce offending.

We’re currently looking for a Senior IDVA Housing Floating Support to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 35 hours per week.

The Role

As the Senior IDVA Housing Floating Support, you’ll provide support to women who have experienced domestic violence, focusing on individuals with housing or tenancy issues.

Advocating and supporting each woman efficiently and empathically, you will liaise with providers and stakeholders to ensure accommodation needs are met.

You will establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with housing services and partner agencies to co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support. Working with clients, you will support them to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.

Additionally, while you will hold your own caseload, you will also line manage three Floating Support Workers, providing them with necessary supervision and day-to-day support.

About You

To be considered as a Senior IDVA Housing Floating Support, you will need:

- Experience of supporting and advocating for women who have experienced domestic abuse
- Experience of supporting and line-managing frontline workers
- Experience with complex and multiple needs
- Risk management and safety planning skills
- The ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
