A trusts fundraiser is needed to raise funds from philanthropic grant-giving organisations for a range of projects at the Royal Veterinary College.

Experience and skill in building and maintaining strong working relationships are paramount and we welcome applications from those with a background in the commercial or charity sectors. You will ideally be accustomed to working with senior managers and within multi-disciplinary groups, using your skills to influence and lead a group in the accumulation of information required in the preparation of grants proposals.

The Fundraising Team works closely with our clinicians, researchers, and other colleagues, to understand their work, identify areas of potential interest to funders and develop compelling proposals and cases for support. Therefore, someone with an intellectual curiosity to understand complex ideas (including scientific research), and the ability to transform this information into engaging communication will be very well suited to this role.  You will be a dynamic individual with a solutions-focussed approach, accustomed to building networks of contacts to assist with your work.

The RVC has a Flexible Working Policy and offers the opportunity to work from home for part of the week. The annual leave entitlement is 30 working days pro rata per annum, plus Bank Holidays and concessionary days offered over the Christmas closure period (usually three days between Christmas and New Year). You will be eligible to join the Superannuation Arrangements of the University of London Scheme (SAUL).

For an informal discussion on the role, please contact Nadja Hale, Head of Fundraising, on 01707 667024 or email: nhale@rvc.ac.uk

The closing date for applications is midnight on: 5th of June 2022

Interviews will be held on: 15th June 2022
