Job Details

The Association of Dyslexia Specialists in Higher Education (ADSHE) is seeking ambitious leadership candidates to apply for the role of Chair and to lead the organisation for a term of office of up to 5 years. With a proven ability to network and to act as a spokesperson/champion, the role holder will promote ADSHE’s interests to other stakeholders at a national level as well as across the HE sector. 

The Chair will oversee and take forward the smooth operation of the ADSHE Executive Committee, and will be expected to work in conjunction with the Directors.  The successful candidate will have the leadership skills, experience, and acumen to ensure the Executive Team operates cohesively, delivering a consistent message of knowledge, support and awareness to the wider membership. Highly proficient communication, listening and time management / prioritisation skills are essential. 

The Chair works remotely and will be provided with a laptop and work phone.

The post is for 15 hours per week spread over 4-5 working days (annual events such as conferences are additional). 

Remuneration:  £15,000 per annum (holiday hours additional) with a pension package.
