Independent Committee Member - Operations Committee
Location: Birmingham, B15
Salary: £4,350 per annum plus reasonable expenses
Hours: Five meetings a year (2.5 hours per meeting)
Contract Type: Temporary

The Role 
Our client is ambitious and confident about their future as they continue to deliver their “Making What Matters Brilliant” Corporate Plan. They are also firmly focussed on ensuring that their customers are proud to call their properties home and are able to engage with the organisation as they strive to deliver a first-class landlord service. They want their homes and services to exceed customer expectations by focussing on the day-to-day issues that customers tell the organisation matters most to them.

Two of their independent committee members are reaching the end of their term of office, so they are seeking two new members to join them in September 2022; playing a critical role in shaping their operations and helping to ensure that the organisation continues to provide brilliant homes and services for their customers, now and into the future.

As a member of the Operations Committee, you’ll contribute your experience, knowledge and insight to provide effective scrutiny and guidance to the Executive Team and the Board regarding our approach to customer engagement, delivering customer focused service, operational performance, as well as their policies that directly impact the service and homes that they provide.

The ideal candidate? You’ll have a strong housing, facilities or asset management background and not have previously served on this organisation's Operations Committee.  To make the most positive impact possible, you’ll also come equipped with previous experience of customer relations and/or customer regulation, for example: fair access to services, customer engagement and involvement, understanding customer needs and priorities and seeking assurance that these are being met.
