Project Manager
GBP39,000 – GBP43,000

Job description:

If you are an experienced project manager with a recognised qualification this is a tremendous opportunity to use your project management expertise to help save our planet. At WWF UK we are working to solve the triple challenge of stabilising the climate, reducing biodiversity loss while fixing the food system to feed a rapidly growing global population.  To achieve this vital and ambitious mission we need to significantly grow our income by launching exciting new fundraising products and enhancing the performance of existing ones. As Project Manager, you will join our Individual Marketing and Legacies team and make sure this happens.

As Project Manager, you will support income growth by maximising the use of cutting-edge digital technologies, innovative media planning and ground-breaking creative execution. Heading a small team, you will coordinate key fundraising projects and major campaigns to help grow support for WWF and our mission. Working alongside multiple teams across the organisation, you will determine project objectives and scope, specify the best way to deliver against requirements as well as the resources needed. You will also oversee project implementation, ensuring that defined processes and timelines are followed, budgets are controlled and regular reporting provided to stakeholders. You will make certain we meet compliance obligations, follow best practice and share learning too.

You must have extensive project management experience and sound knowledge of project methodology and practices. You will also possess a recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or APM PMQ. Comfortable managing complex projects, you will have excellent communication, problem solving and influencing skills. Able to work on your own initiative, you will be comfortable partnering and supporting a number of individuals within a matrix management structure. Of course, you will have an interest in conservation and environmental issues too.

If you would like to develop a broad base of experience and enjoy regularly tackling new challenges, we would love to hear from. Please visit our website via the link, complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up-to-date CV with the Supporting Statement highlighting what makes you a good fit for us.

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you.  Here at WWF, we are committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose.  We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work.

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.
