I am delighted to be working with an amazing environmental charity in search of an Interim Systems Accountant on a 4-month FTC
As a key member of the UK Finance team, work to ensure accurate and timely financial information is posted and available to the organisation. Your role will see you provide Systems Administrator support to the Finance Team by overseeing and developing the organisations financial systems, including SUN and the commitment system, IPOS, so they are fit for purpose, managing the posting of recharges (overheads and intercompany) to the finance system, and managing the monthly timesheets to timetable, supplying appropriate funder codes for completion, reconciling wages control accounts on the ledger.

Main responsibilities & tasks
Analyse the dataflows within the global finance system to ensure that systems are addressing the charity for coherent and integrated data provision to use by Cost Centre and Project Managers, as well as the Senior Management Team (SMT).
Oversee and develop the financial systems, including SUN and the commitment system, IPOS, so they are fit for purpose.
Liaise with IT Management and external IT providers to ensure platforms are appropriate to support the operation of Finance systems.
Manage licencing, hosting and development of systems, as agreed within budget.
General administration of SUN and iPOS including new user set up, new supplier set up, maintaining, and updating the various codes/coding structures/ reference tables used SUN/iPOS.
Understand and participate in the drawing up of all systems requirements, whether new or existing system amendments.
Be the 'go to' person for all members of the charity's Finance staff globally on how to use SUN/ iPOS.
Assist with automation of the process between Sun and Barclays.
Develop and maintain effective documentation to support system implementation.
