For the last 50 years this charity has been working to ensure that people with learning disabilities aren’t isolated in their local community. Today that passion still inspires the charity's staff: to support people with learning disabilities to live their lives, in the way they choose – enabling people to discover their passions, connect with their communities and explore ‘possibilities’. The charity actively support in the region of 200 people with a disability through their various projects at any given point.

The charity is seeking a Chair of their Board of Trustees ideally having been a Chair or Vice Chair, with the experience and capacity to lead the organisation's Board of Trustees. The charity would like someone who shares their commitment to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities.  Building on people’s strengths, the charity empower people to have a voice, make choices, enforce their rights, and make a positive difference to their lives through learning, work and leisure. The organisation's vision is that people with disabilities should live as valued members of society, entitled to equal rights and choice and be enabled to live their lives with dignity and respect.

Joining the board in the charity's 50th year, you will be someone with the energy and drive to help the charity move forward and ensure that the organisation and their members and team, continues to thrive in the years to come.
