Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term until December 2023

About the organisation

Our client is a leading regeneration charity, working through partnership to create communities in which people are proud to live and work.

The Tees Valley Pathways Programme is part-funded by the European Social Fund and supported under the Youth Employment Initiative. This will help to move young unemployed people closer to the labour market, whether that’s getting a job, setting up their own business, starting an apprenticeship, or progressing into further learning.

About the role

They have a dedicated Youth Team delivering a successful Youth Programme which engages with young people across their region. You will work with vulnerable young people and young adults to help build the capacity of local groups and organisations through development and delivery of sustainable projects, to meet the needs of the local community.  You will proactively target and engage with young people to encourage sign up on the programme working with the Redcar and Cleveland Youth Hub. This will include drop in sessions, Youth Hub tours, job fairs, detached youth work, networking with partners

This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure endorsed by the Disclosure and Barring Service

A bit about you

They are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who has experience of external liaison and developing effective relationships with children, young people and communities. They want someone like you who has experience of developing, managing and delivering projects. Having knowledge of community regeneration issues and principles of youth is essential. Your role will require you to have the ability to work effectively as a member of a team as well as being able to work on your own initiative.
